Hello, I received an email from yourselves advising my emails will stop coming via the app until I update my software and settings. I have done that and still cannot access emails on the app, I have tried to delete and reinstall my email on the app and it’s still not working, it states it needs a ‘password’ I can access via web mail. Please could you help me. Thank you.

Hi Siloujess, if the mails have been downloaded by the old laptop we can't help. Once they've been removed from the server they're gone as we don't keep backups of mailboxes. If they're still on your old laptop in outlook or whatever client it used you could send them back to your mailbox after setting your client to leave a copy on the server.

I've removed the image from the post and moved it to your Hidden folder because the email address was shown in the Username.
The server host names are correct. So when TalkTalk restore full access and you tap NEXT on the iPhone you'll be able to proceed to set up the new account server ports as per the guide I gave earlier.
I've requested TalkTalk restore full access and a Support member will reply here in due course.

The iPhone is capable of secure settings.
Take screenshots of the incoming and outgoing server settings, image edit to obscure the first part of your email address and upload here using the picture icon above this Reply area. I'll check for you. If all is ok I'll request TalkTalk to restore full access.

Hi Barbarastephen
Good to know that webmail is working.
Your TalkTalk mailbox will have been limited to webmail only access because of continued use of insecure settings on the iPhone and or any other devices or mail collection service you use to view your mail messages. The iPhone is probably capable of secure mail but will not authenticate an IMAP connection until TalkTalk restore full access.
What model iPhone is it and what is the iOS operating system version? Other than the iPhone do you use any other devices or mail collection service to view your emails?
I'll provide a guide to checking settings on the iPhone (below) so you're ready for secure access. But do let us know if you also use other methods as some devices / services may not support secure mail so will need to be ceased. I'll request full access is restored but you must use only secure settings from now on on all devices and services.
