Emails disappeared

Hi, 

all my emails that I have ever sent have just disappeared from the webmail app (though some from a few years ago are still on the main website)& emails I received but deleted or read have all just returned as unread so now I have thousands of unread emails, how can I get my account back to normal please? Same thing also happened about 6 months ago & I just had to accept it 🙁

If you access emails on a third party app, @maddawson7, check that you have IMAP, not POP3 settings.

 

Talktalk doesn't take responsibility if your emails vanish from your webmail, so always store copies of anything important as a backup. 

 

The server has no backup facility, so once they are gone, they are gone.

 

You need to contact Talktalk itself through Chat (phone line support is not available for this on Sundays) if you want advice from an agent as there are no support staff on the forum to look into what's happening to the display of read / unread emails.
