I have a .dsl.pipex.com email address and its come to my attention that some emails being sent to me are not delivered. In some cases the email disappears without any notification back to the original sender. In other cases, they get an email address not known.
This is an intermittent issue, as some emails are getting through, but its very frustrating especially as in most cases the sender is not getting notification of delivery failure.

Its an alias address.
I will try to get a copy of the bounce report if I can and I will post it here.
There are no special characters in the address (just lowercase letters and a . character.
Its not being auto-forwarded from a personal domain mailbox.

Are the mail messages sent to the master pipex mailbox address or an alias address?
When senders received a 'not known' bounce was the quoted email address correct or in error or truncated? Useful to know the TT error code included in that bounce back error message.
Does the pipex address have special characters in the local part preceding the @ symbol? Some mail services can drop the first half.
Is mail being sent directly to the pipex mailbox or auto-forwarded from a personal domain mailbox?
