The talktalk webmail spam filter is so ridiculous that its even classifying mail from its own support board as spam. The stupid thing means I have to remember to check spam all the time (I never get any actual spam, so this is just pointless and frustrating)

Hi @PaulMcM, we are sorry you have contacted us about this issue. Have you tried to create a filter in Thunderbird to automatically move emails from the spam folder to your inbox?

I tried webmail and the same issue with mails being sent to spam folder exists - this is no great surprise as I believe Thunderbird just views the same folders etc. as talktalk webmail via imap.
Since it seems there is no option to switch off the intrusive spam filtering (a very unfortunate omission in my opinion), might there be a way to create a rule to automatically move any mail that arrives in the spam folder to the inbox folder?

I would advise please try using webmail and let us know if you are experiencing the same issue on it, so we can assist you further.

I have accessed it using Edge browser, not chrome. I prefer to use Thunderbird for day-to-day use rather than logging into webmail

@PaulMcM thank you for this. If I may kindly ask, have you tried accessing your emails via webmail through Google Chrome browser?

I use Thunderbird to pick up my email (and mailwasher to pre-screen for spam, though I don't normally get any as I don't give out my real email addresses often - I give out spamgourmet disposable addresses to most organisations)

Hi @PaulMcM I will be able to run checks on my end, can you confirm if you are currently using TalkTalk webmail to access emails or are you using a third party?
