I need to change the password on my old mypostoffice.co.uk email account, which was taken over by Talk Talk. Please can anyone advise on how to do this.

Good morning.
We have now resolved our problem.
We did login via the shell energy webmail interface and we simply bit the bullet so to speak!
We were able to change the password as it appears that there was a registered recovery email address which we can still access.

Yes, but only if your Post Office email account has valid recovery details set up.
If no recovery details exist, the reset will not lock you out — it just won’t complete

@ChasandDi, for sometime after the Shell Migration there was a dedicated team dealing with all the consequences so you might try asking if they can help via Chat or 03451 720088 on Saturday, after 9am.
There's no forum support now before Monday.

I notice on your Talk Talk FAQs page that there is a question asking " Can I still use my Post Office email address"
It tells me that I can access via the Shell Energy webmail login.
This works and I have a password for this.
Can I reset my password via this Shell Energy page via the forgot password method??
I don't know if there is a recovery email address attached to this account so I'm reluctant to try it without advice in case I get locked out.

Hi Thank you for your question. I have now had time to try the options that were suggested and some of the links do not work but when trying the forgotten password method we do not get a link sent to either our email or phone. So we are still stuck!
To clarify, this email account is a legacy account that originated with the post office and was then transferred to Shell Energy. Talk Talk have taken over the Shell customers so we are a legacy account twice over!
We currently have broadband, land line and email from Talk Talk.

Are you a TalkTalk broadband customer or have you received an email about migrating to Everymail?
If the former, you can find details here.
If you have migrated to Everymail, then you will need to contact them for help.
