Layout in webmail changing from text to symbols - Help please - I don't know what to do!!!

Recently on logging in to TT webmail the layout of the page has changed from the usual vertical list of Inbox etc to symbols and I managed to see which the symbols related to with a little difficulty BUT could not find anywhere "My Folders".

In desperation I tried the chat function and the virtual assistant said they were sending me an access code by email but then said it hadn't worked so were sending me the access code by text which I received.

I then replied using the Chat function giving the access code but heard no more.

By now, even more frustrated, I tried logging out of Webmail and logging back in but still got the same layout with symbols instead of text and try as I might was unable to find out how to get back to the text layout I am used to. Then suddenly I got an email in my inbox and somehow or other the symbol layout had changed back to the text version so I was able to create a new folder for a new subject so at the moment "all is well" but I am bothered that it may change back again and I'll have the same predicament again. Can someone please explain - Id be really grateful.

Hi @Guinless Thank you for getting in touch. I understand how frustrating it can be when the layout changes unexpectedly.

Here’s what you can do to keep the text layout you prefer:

Check your Webmail settings:

  • Log in to Webmail.
  • Click the Settings icon (usually a gear ⚙️ in the top-right corner).
  • Look for Display, Layout, or View Mode options.
  • Select Classic View or Show Text Labels and save changes.

If you can’t find the option:

  • Clear your browser cache and cookies, then log back in.
  • Alternatively, try a different browser to see if the issue persists.
