Have been a talktalk broadband customer for many years. Have a talktalk email address but registered on account with a Gmail address.
I assume this is why I have lost the ability to send emails.
I'm assured this is being looked into and will be rectified soon.

It's nothing to do with registering with a Gmail address.
There is a major incident that is being worked on to resolve things.
Have you received an email about transferring to Everymail or fi you see a banner when accessing Webmail?
