Ask us about your TalkTalk email account and Webmail.

Hi,
I received an email about having to pay for my TalkTalk email address as I was no longer a customer.
The email was linked to an account that was closed but we still have a current TalkTalk account. The email address was actually created using this account in the first place then later I associated it with the account that was eventually closed.
However there is no option in the current active TalkTalk account to add the email address to this account. I believe we can have up to 5 email addresses.
Please can you advise.
Regards,
Keith

Hi Siphosethu,
Thanks very much for doing that.
So my TalkTalk email address is now safe and I'll still be able to send emails after 28th July and it won't be deleted in October?

Keith

It has been a month now since I first posted about this issue and it looks like nothing has been done
I sent you a private message with my email address as requested. That was 17 days ago.
I posted confirmation that I sent you a private message and then asked for confirmation all was ok since you never responded.

Siphosethu,
I did get back to you. I sent you a PM with my talk talk email address. I then put a post on this thread saying I have sent you a PM.
I later asked for confirmation that you had filled on the form and my email address was associated with the account.
I got this reply from nambuso-TT;
"Hi there @Cbendel I can confirm that we filled in a form for you that raised an escalation as you received an email advising that your TT email address will be deleted. This was an error and the email service will not be removed. Further comms for this will be suppressed. Thanks"
Please read the thread below and let me know what is going on. Also look at your personal messages where you find my talk talk address.
Regards,
Keith

Hi there @Cbendel, yes, I did offer to fill the form for you, but you didn't get back to me afterwards. Please confirm the email address you are receiving these comms on so we can have it linked asap.

It was an SMS text and I received it yesterday Tuesday 15th July

@Cbendel can you please confirm when did you receive that email?

Hi,
Can someone from TalkTalk find out why I have been sent this text below:
"TalkTalk Update: Hello, we were unable to locate your TalkTalk Broadband account as your email address was not provided. Please call 0345 172 0088 with your TalkTalk email to avoid further correspondence. We apologise for any inconvenience."
Siphosethu said that they had confirmed I have an active account and filled in a form to associate it with my talk talk email so they obviously can locate the broadband account.
I'm not sure why I have been sent this text message.
Regards,
Keith

It would appear so, that phone number is genuine, see here for more details and opening hours:

Hi nambuso-TT,
Thank you for confirming this.
Today I received an SMS text message which it said was from TalkTalk saying this;
"TalkTalk Update: Hello, we were unable to locate your TalkTalk Broadband account as your email address was not provided. Please call 0345 172 0088 with your TalkTalk email to avoid further correspondence. We apologise for any inconvenience."
Can you tell me if this is real and actually came from TalkTalk or a scam?

Keith

Hi there @Cbendel I can confirm that we filled in a form for you that raised an escalation as you received an email advising that your TT email address will be deleted. This was an error and the email service will not be removed. Further comms for this will be suppressed. Thanks

@Cbendel, as we didn't hear further from @siphosethu-TT, AFTER you sent the PM with the email address, I'll re-escalate this thread for them to confirm that the form has since been completed for associating it with your current broadband account.
Bear in mind that they won't reply before Monday, as staff are not on here at weekends.

Hi Siphosethu-TT,
Can you confirm that my TalkTalk email address is now safe, associated to the active TalkTalk account and I won't lose access to it.
I still have a red banner saying I need to sign up by July 28.
Regards,
Keith

@Cbendel No, nothing else to be done.

I would ignore pretty much anything @Billx says.
Now that you have had a response from @siphosethu-TT , who actually works for TalkTalk, you can rest assured.

Hi Billx,
Siphosethu-TT said they would fill in a web form for me to notify talk talk of the talktalk address I would like to keep and thst I have an active account.
I sent them a private message with the name of the email address and posted a message here saying I had private messaged them with the name of the email address.
Do I need to do anything else?
Regards,
Keith
