Are there any problems currently with TalkTalk POP3 emails as far as anyone is aware? Receiving a password incorrect message, but access is fine via IMAP on mobile.
I've had this very sporadically over the years but it usually resolves after a day. Currently on the 3rd day.

Nothing has changed at TalkTalk's end, it's still port 995 and SSL/TLS incoming security on host mail.talktalk.net with password authentication. The password upgrade is part of normal troubleshooting and definitely recommended if you've had the same old password for a long time especially a password that may not meet current security requirements.

Nothing found in the security settings.
Was trying to avoid the password reset route, but may be unable to avoid it. Still feels wrong to me as IMAP access is fine on the phone.
I don't suppose the port or SSL/TLS things have changed at Talk Talk over the last week?
Will take another look tomorrow and update this topic as to whether it can be closed or not.

I would troubleshoot by changing and upgrading the password.
The Reset password now button in the help article Changing your email password will take you to password reset and recovery.
If you have set up password recovery options, in advance, that you recognise from the *****hints, then you can send your alternate email address a link or your mobile a 6-digit code to authorise a password reset.

Thanks. Thunderbird and the Windows Mail app are both configured and have the same alleged password issue. Access via Samsung mobile using IMAP is fine.
Security is an interesting point. Nothing has changed in the last two days, so this shouldn't be possible, but I will check.

I'm not seeing any issue with POP3 access for a TalkTalk mailbox. As IMAP is working with the mailbox then the only difference is POP3 commands via port 995. The two issues that are most often reported are:
Do either of these issues relate to your device that's trying to access the POP3 port of the TalkTalk mailbox?
Troubleshoot by first trying a repair of the Outlook email account, if you use Outlook, and suspending Internet security scanning / adding exclusions to the scanning of the email ports 993 and 995.
