Problems sending and receiving (Yahoo) emails

Hi. For the last month or so I have expderienced problems when sending and receiving emails to Yahoo and Sky email addresses.

When I send one it usually (but not always) gets received but I sometimes (but not always) do not receive their reply.

Until a couple of weeks ago I got an error message (could not deliver) but I can't remember what it said - I no longer receive any messages.

The problem occurs on both my Outlook and  Webmail via my Tiscali email.

It is frustrating not knowing if emails have been received or not and I believe it could also be occuring with domains other than Sky and Yahoo.

Any ideas how this can be solved ?

Hi rautospoon, I raised the incident for this back in November. It may get faster results if you raise a complaint. You'll find the complaints details at the bottom of every TalkTalk webpage.

Hi Ady. Just received an email from a Sky email address to which I replied but received this message (which I have not seen before) within a few minutes :

 

Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender

This is the mail system at host mx-out.tt.xion.oxcs.net.

 

I'm sorry to have to inform you that your message could not be delivered to one or more recipients. It's attached below.

 

For further assistance, please send mail to postmaster.

 

If you do so, please include this problem report. You can delete your own text from the attached returned message.

Hi Ady. This continuing unreliability with Yahoo/Sky emails is now realy causing me quite a serious problem as I have a number of importaant business and personal contacts using those platforms.

Could you please escalate and (as previously requested "chase") this matter for me ?

Hi Ady. Thanks for that.

The questions now are, what is being done to fix and when is it likely to be resolved ?

We are paying a subscription for an email service that is not delivering, which at best is irritating and at worst is being badly short-changed !

Hi rautospoon, this problem is well known and I first opened an incident for it in November. The problem is that there's so much spam going out from TalkTalk customer mailboxes that the other mail providers have blocked TT servers as spam or r

There are a lot of email issues to chase up at the moment, @rautospoon. It may take a little longer than usual to get a reply from staff as they are still catching up from the weekend.
