I have Outlook 2010 on my desktop which is running Windows 10. I have no problem sending or receiving emails.
On my new laptop since 3rd March I have been unable to send or receive emails using Outlook 2010 and Windows 11. It was working fine when I had the laptop set up at the end of January.
The following message is displayed:
Task 'j**********@tiscali.co.uk: Folder:Inbox Check for new mail.' reported error (0x800CCC0E) : 'Outlook cannot download folder Inbox from the IMAP e-mail server for account *********@tiscali.co.uk. Error: Cannot connect to the server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'
I have checked settings but cannot see anything obviously wrong. What can I do to rectify the situation

Hi CaptJohn, please remove the mail account from your Windows 11 device. Add it back after a reboot and be sure to use the correct settings from the Email Settings help article.
