Sending Emails from Webmail... sending(?) but not being received

Hi...

Not sure how long this has been happening (at least since Monday 29/9)...  however some recipients are not receiving my responses (even when I "reply" to their initial email to me). eg emails send to icloud recipients not being received...similarly recipients at  organisations such as barclays.com not receiving my emails.

As stated I'm using webmail so have not changed any mail settings and/or indeed know what any mail settings would be...

As far as  I can tell I am receiving all emails!!

Thanks Andy... that implies they found something wasn't working correctly.  Did they explain what and why etc...  I've sent numerous emails to the accounts previously advised and to date none have been received etc

Hi DannyT, I'd only heard back from the team to advise all was working normally again. As you've reported you're still having problems I've asked them to investigate this again.

Thanks,  @DannyT. Sorry, it wasn't obvious as there was no follow up other than what you would have sent by PM!

Usually we see something in the public thread following receipt of the PM etc.

I think I'll remove some of the details from the public email address just in case it's real...!

Hopefully staff will update the thread when they pick it up again, now it's back in the queue for attention.

@DannyT, you didn't reply to Ady's posts back in October!

The issue that people were reporting in the past week or so may have been an unrelated incident and we tried to steer other customers off your thread.

I'll re-escalate this for staff attention, but please do post back.on here to reply when you get a response.

Any notification emails you get won't work to reply, as they are from a No Reply address.

@glyderman and @teller, this thread is no longer in a queue for attention and staff will reply to your individual posts if you each return to the message board and click on start a topic.

This is to avoid confusion in the replies, as it is not always the same issue for each customer.

You also need to complete your community forum profile details for Talktalk staff to identify your account.

This is slightly off topic but I am having problems sending also and sometimes receiving from other people. they tell me they have sent me an email but I never get it or they say they tried to email me and it says at their end that the email is blocked. Why?

At the moment I can only send via webmail.

I have been doing research on this.

I am using an ancient email client, Eudora 7.1. Last update was 2005. I found a thread yesterday from March 2023 that mentions that TalkTalk has changed it security protocols.

It was still allowing people with older clients, including win mail, to send, but if they continued  to do so with out upgrading to a client prefered by TalkTalk, then they would start to block the customer from sending emails.

Apparently they did email people about this but I never received one. In extreme cases they may block receiving as well.

They were forcing people to use webmail untill they have upgraded their client. Apparently the moderator of the forum who was a talktalk emplyee, said that after you upgrade your client you would have to contact customer support to tell them what you are using and your settings in order to be unblocked from sending emails through your new client.

I am now in the process of migrating to Thunderbird, but have found that this also has problems. Yesterday it was ok to send , but  now it isn't. So there seems to be a problem woth TalkTalk servers and not after all that they were just blokcing me because I am using Eudora.

Are you using received receipts and/or read receipts? Can you send me a personal message with details of the last 2 emails you sent please and we'll look to see if we see them leave. I need time and date and recipient ideally.

Hi DannyT, I can only see 2 emails sent via our mail servers in the last 30 days from the email you registered with and both are test mails. How many mails have you sent in say the last 7 days,
