Spam e-mails

Like many other customers the level of Spam emails that are now bypassing TalkTalk's mail filters has risen to the point that it's actually concerning. Something somewhere is amiss. Other email platforms seem to be able to sift the Spam from the genuine emails, but lately TalkTalk seems to have given up. All of my family who have been with TalkTalk since the very early days, so our email addresses have been in use for many years are all experiencing this deluge.

TalkTalk do you have any plans in place to restore a "normal level of service" as per other email platforms?

What is also worrying that you can no longer report Phishing emails to the usual email address...

Mail sent to phishing@talktalk.co.uk now responds with the following message...

This is the mail system at host mx-out.tt.xion.oxcs.net.

I'm sorry to have to inform you that your message could not
be delivered to one or more recipients. It's attached below.

For further assistance, please send mail to postmaster.

If you do so, please include this problem report. You can
delete your own text from the attached returned message.

TalkTalk have changed how spam mail should be reported to them.
How to do this can be found here
https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Articles/Phishing-emails-amp-everything-you-need-to-know/ta-p/30....

As yo the Spamail itself, TalkTalk are actively looking at this.

Did you buy any chance click on a link to restore your account? Of so this may be how they hot hold of your address. If not someone you know may have gone and they may have harvested your email from that person's address book.

Hope this helps.
Thank you.
