I am being inundated with spam/phishing emails & can't increase the spam filter list entry number.  It's driving me mad - can anyone help please

I would just report the phishing to TalkTalk if the scam purports to represent TalkTalk or report to the Government Suspicious Email Reporting Service (SERS). The UK Agency has taken down a lot of criminal websites targeting UK consumers.

Thanks Gondola, I would appreciate that please.

Also can I set up a filter to look for similar phishing emails e.g. McAfee antivirus renewal scams (don't use McAfee!!)

Thanks

This isn't an error message that I recognise from the Open Xchange email platform and the Mark as spam notification that goes to CloudMark isn't expected to generate a user notification. There are no user settings.

I'll ask TalkTalk to have a look to see if there's a configuration entry that is there to prevent notional abuse of the Mark as spam function.

I have already tried reporting phishing attacks purporting to be from TalkTalk and for spam just select Mark as spam from the toolbar in webmail.  It's when I mark them as Spam I get the following message:

"Total number of spam filter list entry A reached maximum NOV valu.. 1023"

How do I increase this value

Hi @Ped30

If your email address is known to criminal gangs then that email address will be relentlessly targeted with phishing and spam attacks.

Phishing emails & everything you need to know

TalkTalk asks that you report phishing attacks purporting to be from TalkTalk and for spam just select Mark as spam from the toolbar in webmail.

Are you trying to filter out the unwanted attack mails?  No point in trying to filter on the sending addresses as these change. Is this what you mean by "can't increase the spam filter list entry number"? i.e. you already have too many entries in a Blocked Senders Filter?
