Why are Talktalk so crap when there a fault. No way to contact them and the chat system is a joke! I should have left last time we had a fault. Any suggestions for a good provider with adults in charge would be appreciated.

@andrew57, staff could have helped you yesterday if you'd replied, but instead you are following up here.

It’s hardly surprising that’s there no way to contact Talktalk directly because they are a shambolic excuse for a business which constantly makes promises that they don’t fulfil. They remind me of the builders (sorry to the good builders!) who promise to turn up to give a quote, and never show. After yesterday’s fiasco we had another  promise to turn up today to fix the problem (the usual time of 8-1pm) and as usual……..no show! I am at a loss as to whether TT are incapable, incompetent or just plain liars! Three promises to turn up this week and so far three no shows. As I’ve stated before the chat system is useless and  to the Support Team on this forum spare me your comments of support and help……….I don’t believe you have any influence over anything that happens! If you want to help please provide a contact for somebody in the organisation who is capable of resolving this matter. TT really is a disgrace!

O dear! Where to begin!  I report my broadband cable was severed last Sunday and is lying on the ground. After countless chats on TT each time asking the same obviously stupid questions eg Are you having problems with your internet? (Yes slight problems…….there isn’t any!) I am promised a visit by an engineer for Tuesday 8-1pm. I stay home in case access needed. Nobody turns up! Back on chat…..same old inane questions (I’ll spare you the examples) Appointment booked for Thursday 8-1pm. No guesses what happened other that an ‘Issue resolved’ notice put on my account. Didn’t realise that broadband signals can now jump from one end of severed cable to the other end! Broadband still a bit slow ie zero! This farce happened the last time there was a problem in March and it took endless frustrating hours of chasing to get anything done. Other than that everything is fine. I wonder if anything will happen today…..can’t wait. Whatever happened to reporting a problem and somebody responds OK we’ll be out on x date to fix it. Job done!
