Currently trying to to clear emails as I am on holiday and receiving ok but again new message for sent emails ie cannot connect to server.  Surely this should be sorted out once and for all as it obviously has not been.  What about recompense?

@ChrisG15 there will be no updates here until at least Monday as the forum is staffed normal office hours, Monday to Friday.

The only way yo get an update from TalkTalk staff is by phone or chat.

Try phoning 0345 172 0088, if you wish, and hopefully they won't try to take you through diagnostics which will not work as it's a global issue.

Opening Hours can be found here - https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Articles/How-to-contact-TalkTalk-Broadband/ta-p/2230529#

Sorry but the lack of information on this and the time it has now taken is unacceptable in this day and age.  A reminder, this is what I get each time when sending:

on 05/07/2025 12:30

550 5.7.1  Reject for policy reason

No trouble at all in receiving so can someone please sort out the outbound server as a matter of priority!

Hi,

As this is an ongoing issue and we have a few reports today, I have raised this again with the Forum Manager to push back to the relevant team.

You knocked your own thread back by posting again there before staff had a chance to reply, so the algorithm in the workflow would treat it as an answer.

I have however re-escalated your thread so it should be picked up.

Please do not follow up by using other people's threads either, as this messes up the workflow similarly for them, @mdp1234.

This is @ChrisG15's thread.

@ChrisG15, you need to go via your avatar, settings and Personal Information to complete your details and SAVE CHANGES.

Do they not work through in order of issues coming through then!

@mdp1234, staff have queues of people to work through!

It can take several hours to reach a post, and sometimes not even the same day.

Staff will respond as soon as they can.

It is just hopeless isn't it. I think they may only do anything if everyone starts to put complaints into ofcom, but then they are joint bottom for broadband services in terms of complaints to ofcom already so I'm not sure if even that will do anything. The talktalk complaints text service last time just kept sending me to different, random people and then logged off at the end of the day to never restart.
