I have a broadband and phone account with TalkTalk and a Tiscali email account.  I am being asked to subscribe or I will loose my emails.  I have read that I can add my email address to my account.  Please can you let me know how I do this.  Thank you

Thank you.  Will you be able to tell me when the restrictions will be lifted please?  Or will it allow me to send emails automatically?  Thank you for your help.

Hi, @fr8ys , Staff are able to use the phone number however there will be instances where we will ask for more information for example if we find the details are missing or incorrect.

@Giraffe67 I have sent you a private message

@Giraffe67, your account number is also visible in every billing notification email that you will have received -though not a particularly legible colour scheme (blue numbers on a blackbackground can be hard on the eyes)!

@Giraffe67 you can find this by logging into My Account.

@Nicolene-TT it does appear that the customers profile is up to date from their avatars.  If they have their phone number shown, I was under the impression that staff see the account number using the phone number.

Hi @Giraffe67, I'll be happy to assist you with this.

Thank you for confirming your email address i have noted that. I will raise the form to add your email address to your account, in order for me to complete this i need you add your account number to the private notes field under your profile, this is to ensure the email is associated with the correct account. Please do not post this information here for security purposes.

Once you have completed this i will go ahead and add your email to your active account.

Yes I am unable to send emails. Also the message advises that from 8 September I will have no access at all.

@sabelo-TT

I mentioned that the notice @Giraffe67  has shown appears when trying to compose a new email. It is impossible to send an email, as composing a new email is not possible, because that is blocked by the notification.

Surely, TalkTalk support staff ought to have been briefed on this by now, i.e. they ought to be familiar with what a customer in this situation is being presented with, and avoid any unnecessary questions and delay.

TalkTalk is fine, when there are no issues, but getting issues resolved can be a real headache.

@nameunknown_, thank you for this information as I will need to escalate this matter to our email team, a few questions that I ask will be able to assist on my end.

@Giraffe67, can you confirm if you are experiencing feature restrictions (i.e unable to send an email) in the email account.

@sabelo-TT

Last night, on seeing @Giraffe67  saying "I dont't understand", I tried to assist by suggesting what I thought @amahle-TT  was asking, and in response @Giraffe67  posted an image of the final notice about subscribing that pops up when attempting to compose a new email.

The red banner with information about subscribing along with a subscribe button is also in the background on the image.

You appear to be asking a similar question to @amahle-TT  , so it seems there is a misunderstanding one way or the other.

@Giraffe67  is seeing notifications about subscribing after logging in to webmail.

Along with many other current TalkTalk customers in the same situation, @Giraffe67  has asked TalkTalk to link their email account to their TalkTalk account, thereby removing the requirement to subscribe.

@Giraffe67, thank you for providing the information. Is the sign-up option available when you login to your email account?

 It also says after 8 September all access to emails will be lost unless a subscription is taken out.

I think @amahle-TT is asking you whether you see the option to subscribe, if you sign in to your email account using webmail, i.e. do you see a red banner across the top with a message and a subscribe button.
