I have rather too many .lineone emails going back to 2013. What I want is to

(1) display them in ascending order

(2) search to show all those with, for example, Amazon in the subject field

(3) start deleting large blocks of very old emails

All very simple and I can do the first step, but I can't stop the second reverting back to descending order.

Is this a known problem, or am I going about things the wrong way?

Hi, @durdle

Yes, the default is 'descending'

I set the Inbox to ascending, and that was OK

I looked for a particular category, and I got 8 items out of 300

And the order of the 8, was back to descending, and no option to re-sort.

If one wants that smaller portion of the whole folder as ascending,

I would copy/move them to a another empty folder, and re-sort them again there.

You may find what you can do in webmail a bit limited. Clicking on the three dot menu top right only offers these sort options:-

SortSort

You might be better of with an email client, such as Thunderbird.
