i have received an emailfrom an unverifiable email address telling me thatmy subscription is about to be terminated. is this email genuine and if it is may i ask why you have decided to take this action

You've indicated that the email address is unverifiable so with just that and talk about a 'subscription being cancelled' tells me it's a phishing email scam.

I very much doubt it's genuine.

 

Hover your mouse over the sender's email and I suspect it won't even show a TalkTalk email address.

 

Delete it and block the sender.

 

If your payments are up to date you shouldn't worry.

 

These types of email are sent out to many in the hope that someone will panic and provide their card details.

 

Another way to check is to copy the text in the email and paste into Google search to see if there are any matches. This will probably confirm it's a hoax 

 

Don't nt click on any link within the email or on any attachments as these may contain viruses.
