My elderly mum has talk talk, but has no requirement for broadband or the internet

Does she have to pay the new Fibre charges

Talktalk doesn't sell the phone service without broadband bundled in and, the way things are going, it's actually becoming more a case of predominantly fibre [fibre to the premises, so Full Fibre] and the landline number may be kept if you order it at the same time, but it's no longer going to function from the traditional Openreach master socket.

It works with the router, using VOIP.

Not an easy transition for many of us!

In the interim Fibre to the cabinet is usually still available, @AdeleA1, and the copper line is still going to work for the landline until Full Fibre is installed.

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry we still have plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link in the post at the top of any forum message board.
