Hi.

I'm trying to get my eero6 mesh set up, but the default ip address for the router is 192.168.4.1.

I have 2 devices that I want to connect, they don't have dhcp and have addresses in the 192.168.1.x range (old router had 192.168.1.1 IP address).

How can I get out of this, as I can't seem to change the router's IP, and I can't see my 2 devices to change theirs?

Hi @Spiderman1943

Yes, you can set the eeros to use the 192.168.1.0/24 network like old TalkTalk routers.do this.

To change this in the app:-

Tap Settings from the Home page, then use the DHCP & NAT option to access IP details.
Select Manual IP, then set the IP address prefix to 192.168.0.0 and input the IP address range.

Typical settings are:-

Subnet IP: 192.168.1.0
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Starting IP: 192.168.1.10 (anything from 192.168.1.2)
Ending IP: 192.168.1.254

Like this, the router will allocate itself the address 192.168.1.1.

Now click the Save button at the top right of the window and a message will be displayed saying that the eero needs to reboot. Accept this & wait until it has done this.

The TalkTalk Community has now moved to a peer-to-peer support model. This means that the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry, there are plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link here How to contact TalkTalk Broadband - TalkTalk Help & Support
