I'm not sure what you mean by "average" speed @Paul# . The maximum possible speeds on the Fibre35 package are 40Mbps download and 10Mbps upload, but the actual speed you will achieve is determined mainly by the quality and length of the copper part of the phone line from your home to the PCP cabinet. The important figure to note is your own personal guaranteed minimum speed of which you should have been advised when you took out your contract.

If you update your information as Michelle has advised, staff will be able to check your line and account details.

It may also help if you could answer Keith's questions regarding how you are testing the speed as WiFi signals can be susceptible to speed reduction due to conditions within your home (location of router, walls, interference etc) which he may be able to offer you some help with if that is your problem.

Hi Paul,

Can you please update your community profile to include your:

  • Name
  • Telephone number
  • Alternative contact number

We'll then look into this further. Please do not post this information on this thread. Once you've updated your profile please post in your topic to confirm it's updated.

Thanks

Michelle

You have a problem that needs diagnosing. I assume that those figures are from speed test websites? Please can you elaborate by answering these few questions:-

1. What make/model of router do you have (if this is a TalkTalk router, these details will be on a label on the rear or underside of it)?
2. If you log into the router, what speeds does it show there (often in the initial dashboard area)?
3. If you have any wired connections, are they affected in the same way as wireless ones?
