I have TalkTalk FTTC and landline phone.
Tonight around 7:30 pm, my Internet dropped. I tried rebooting the router but it failed to connect. Also, there is a loud crackling sound from the landline phone handset.
I left the router off for around half an hour and then rebooted. This time it connected and I was able to access the Internet. However, there is still a loud crackling sound from the landline phone handset. I tried plugging a handset into the phone socket on the face of the OpenReach box but there is still a loud crackling sound.
