Hi, our Internet went down on Tuesday, major outage in the area. Came back on Thursday but went off again Thursday night. Talktalk sent text message to say all fixed but some neighbours have connection as far as I know, some haven't, like myself.
Can't run a connection test as already did tuesday.
Went on online chat and not really much help.
As talktalk say problems are fixed worried in case problem is at my end or they are not aware of the problem.
Could anyone tell me what the situation is.
Thanks for your time.

Hi, thanks. The connection issue has been resolved. I'm in contact with talk talk by email about other issues.
Thanks.

Thank you so much for your help @Gliwmaeden2
Hi there @jsblakeuk I would like to confirm if the issue the issue has been completely resolved and you are no longer experiencing any issues?

I know, it's really awkward when the service suddenly mends itself after the window for cancelling the engineer. Especially over weekends.
You won't know until your next bill is made up.... that's why you may need to discuss charges then. Have you at least informed Talktalk that the engineer doesn't need to come? Otherwise it will be a wasted journey for the engineer and you will definitely be charged.

That's micro filter, not fiber. Damn auto correct!

When I phoned talktalk on Saturday, I had already been texted by talktalk that openreach had fixed all 4 of the issues affecting my area.
The person I rang at 9am Saturday tested my line and could find no fault. He said it was probably a dodgy router or microfiber. My choice was to have a microfiber sent to me (mine's built it to the BT box) or have an engineer call
I received a text from talktalk at 15.26 on Saturday that openreach had fixed a fault, that we had already been told Wednesday had been fixed.
today at around 3pmish my neighbours internet went off and then mine came on when theirs came back, without any interaction from me to my equipment suggests that there was still a fault at openreaches end which talktalk were unaware of.
Unfortunately by the time my Internet came back on it's too late to cancel the engineer.

If you know that neighbours are also affected, then it's usually not worth booking an individual engineer appointment as the issue is unlikely to be specific to your address, @jsblakeuk.
You'll need to discuss any charges as and when with Talktalk directly.

Thanks, but managed to phone talktalk on Saturday, they are sending an engineer on Monday. But today at about 3pm all my neighbours internet went down then a few minutes later the all came back on including mine.
Too late to cancel engineer, hope I don't get charged for call out!
