Hi my router has been showing a solid orange light since last night. We've turned it on and off again, pressed the reset button a few times and have turned it off overnight but still a solid orange light. Is there a problem with the connection in my area, Inverness, or do I need a new router?

@HQuinn18-28-12, if Openreach is still working on it, there's no point thinking about changing suppliers as most will also be affected.

So far no change on the service status dashboard (broadband):

Hello. My Internet is still not working and it's now been a week. Do you know when this will be fixed now because I am really considering changing suppliers?

Thank you for confirming, there is an update that just came and following the recent severe weather in Scotland caused by Storm Floris, the Openreach network has been significantly affected. This includes damage to overhead cables and power-related issues that are impacting service delivery. Openreach has therefore declaring MBORC (Matters Beyond Our Reasonable Control) for repair activities for WLR, LLU, FTTC, SOGEA and SOTAP in the Highlands and Islands areas, with effect from 23:59 on Monday, 4 August 2025.

We'd like to apologize for any inconvenience caused during this time and assure you that our teams are monitoring the situation and closely working with Openreach to ensure services are restored back to pre-storm levels.
