Hello
Does anyone know how many devices could run effectively at anyone time on my TalkTalk Hub WiFi. I have a good WiFi signal but would like better upstairs.
With everything on WiFi I can see I could position my router more central in my downstairs lounge and possibly get better distribution of wifi signal up and down stairs.
Currently I have the following devices hard wired to my router, Samsung TV : Freesat Box; Samsung Sound Bar and Play Station. My router is close to these devices. I also have a tv upstairs already running on WiFi.
Thanks

Hi @Giraffe
I thought your username seemed familiar!
Depending on which WiFi hub you have, if it is a Sagemcom, you can purchase a WiFi Booster for it, if it would help. This is much better than its description, as it combines with the router to form a WiFi Mesh Setup. I can provide any support you might require on this & the router and the best bit is you can currently buy one from the Better Value Team (new name for the Loyalty dept) half price - £60 reduced to £30.

Thanks Keith. You successfully helped me before with my upstairs WiFi which is now working to a satisfactory level for football coverage on 5Ghz. As I mentioned to Mandisa it looks from network scan results it could be improved further possibly by repositioning my router more centrally downstairs. Wiring, Ethernet and Power, however is the problem on that score prompting me to raise the question how many of my tv and computer devices could likely run via just WiFi from my TalkTalk Hub? I have now tried repositioning my router slightly letting WiFi run my freesat box downstairs as-well as my tv, laptop and printer upstairs and they work satisfactorily with slightly better network scan results upstairs so I will keep them as that. I also tried to add my downstairs tv which would be required to properly move my router hub but when tested WiFi performance upstairs fell off. I have therefore decided to run my devices generally by WiFi except for the downstairs tv and leave it at that for now.
Thanks for your interest.

Thanks Mandia
No real problems with my wifi though it could be improved upstairs. I am just looking at all the wires at my TV's equipment and Router and thinking perhaps I could arrange my network better.

Thanks for your reply.
I am on Fibre 65 plan therefore it seems there is potential for running all my devices on WiFi. I may give it a test run.

It depends on many things.

AI Overview
TalkTalk's fibre broadband plans, both standard and ultrafast, offer varying capabilities in terms of the number of devices that can be connected to their Wi-Fi.
TalkTalk's Fibre 65 plan is ideal for 5+ devices, while Fibre 35 is suitable for 3-5 devices. Ultrafast Fibre plans can handle over 10 devices, and Full Fibre 900 can connect over 75 devices.
I suspect these are on the conservative side, but as said there are many variables.
