Hi
For the last six months I have had a download speed of around 41mbs. In the router settings a speed of 44144 kbps. However, in the last week or so the speed has dropped to 32399 kbps and there has been no change in my set up. I ran the test your connection on the Talktalk speed check page and was told there me be problem so to run line test no 15491776.
I then later received a text to say there was no problem etc check my set up. A speed test this morning now shows 33 Mbps to the router and 30 Mbps to your device. Also shows now a guaranteed speed of 30 Mbps this should be 40 Mbps as I am on Fibre 65. Perhaps this could be investigated for me thank you.
Regards plb46

Which is also correct Billx.
As I have also kindly asked @plb46 privately about this matter, I have picked up on minor line faults that I am working on my end. 🙂

Hi, @plb46
Re: 'shows now a guaranteed speed of 30 Mbps this should be 40 Mbps'
The guaranteed speed of a customer shown within 'MyAccount' cannot be relied upon. It is not always accurate.
To see your guaranteed speed, you should rely on what is stated on your CONTRACT_SUMMARY.pdf document, which would have been sent to you in the beginning.

Hi there plb46,
We’re really sorry for any trouble you’ve been having. To help you better, we’d like to discuss some sensitive account details privately. I’ll send you a private message so we can continue from there. 😊
In the meantime, you might want to try resetting your router. This can help clear out any old data that might be slowing things down. It’s a simple step that could improve your service. Here's a link which will assist with these steps 🙂 Restore your router to factory settings - TalkTalk Help & Support
Thanks.
