I have recently upgraded from 'copper wire' to Full Fibre and TalkTalk sent me another WiFi hub which is identical to my existing WiFi hub but with an older firmware version.

The old version was SG4K100208 and its replacement is SG4K100174.

Why is this?

Hi @JohnIsard

Both the 5364 (Hub 1) & 5464 (Hub 2) run the same firmware & should now be on V208.

The TalkTalk Community has now moved to a peer-to-peer support model. This means that the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry, there are plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link here How to contact TalkTalk Broadband - TalkTalk Help & Support

We are glad to hear that, is there anything else you would like us to assist you with at the moment?

@JohnIsard the versions update automatically. Your router will also update as time goes. Should you encounter faults please reach out for assistance.

This has not answered my question. Why does my new WiFi hub have an older Firmware version?

According to another post on here, Firmware Version .......174 actually has some issues.

Further to my last post, I notice that they aren't identical Sagemcom routers because the later one has a VoIP phone socket. Furthermore hey have different Device Versions, the old one is "FAST 5364-3.T8" and its replacement is "FAST 5464-2.T4"
