Hi there. Over the past couple of days I have been unable to play my PSPortal connecting to my wired PS5 as it says the connection is unstable. I have reset the router and rebooted a few times and it still wont work. On further investigation it seems like I'm having a few dropped packets and a really unstable internet connection. This is affecting downloads (pausing them) and also the streaming of YouTube videos. My ping times seem high too.
I have done an online line test but that says its okay.
Could this be yet another router issue? I have been sent a replacement in the past and it worked brilliant up until now. I have the Wifi-Hub for reference.
Any advice is gratefully received.

It can definitely look odd when your upload speed suddenly jumps above what you’re used to. This could mean your line has recently re-synced at a higher profile, this can happen after a reboot or DLM reset.
The laptop is perfect, thank you. Do you know the type of Operating System is in use on your Laptop?

Yeah I think it must be some sort of data loss that is causing apps and devices to lower the resolution.
I can perform any tests you suggest.
As a side note.. Is it right that my upload speed is greater than 10mbs? I have never had it at 10 before but recent reboots make it over 11Mbs? Could this be some noise on the line?

Do you have any active monitoring for life threatening health reasons which is solely dependent upon your TalkTalk Broadband or Telephone line?
For example a care alarm, lifeline, health pendant or fall detector.

It could be your router but based on your symptoms, it might also be line instability, DNS issues, or even PS5 network‑related behavior. We will need to complete diagnostic checks to detect the fault and advise you on the best resolution to fix the fault. Please confirm if you are messaging us from home?

Yeah all devices suffer the same. Devices like the GoogleTV streamer and Chromecast With GoogleTV suffer from resolution drops when streaming TV from the likes of BBCIPlayer and Channel4 etc. When using social apps on the mobile phones, certain pictures or posts don't load.
