I have found how you change channels but I can't find how to move just one device (my Chromecast) from 5ghz to 2.4ghz which is the recommended one.

Band 1 and Band 2 could still have the same SSID (name) so first thing to do is rename them, such as ARANDORA_2 and ARANDORA_5

You'll have to reconnect all devices to the newly renamed SSIDs

On dual band devices you'll see an option to connect to either.

On the Chromecast connect to the renamed 2.4 GHz SSID

Here are the comments in case the screen shot was unacceptable.

I don't know what happened to my previous reply which included a screen shot so here goes again.

I have 4 devices on the 5ghz channel including my Chromecast IP address 192.168.1.145 which I want to transfer to the 2.4ghz channel. However,  despite the previous suggestions I cannot find how I can move that one device only to the 2.4ghz Channel.

Hi Arandora

What is the device you are using?

If you have split the SSID's then you should see both of these separately in your wireless settings

On the device in question, if you go to the wireless settings can you see the 2.4ghz? You may need to forget the network on the device first.

No I want to transfer one of the 4 devices on the 5Mghz band to the 3 currently on the 2.4ghz band. I could not find a Choose Wi-Fi Configuration option.

Hi Arandora

Do you mean splitting the SSID's?

Open your browser and type in 192.168.1.1 to go to the router admin page
Login with your router username and password. You’ll find these on the sticker underneath the removable settings card on back of your Wi-Fi Hub
On the Dashboard page, select the See Wi-Fi settings button
Now choose Manage advanced settings
Select Continue on the pop-up box
Choose Wi-Fi configuration
Type different network names into the Wi-Fi Name text boxes
To finish, select the Save button

Hi Michelle

I found that article before I posted but it only seems to advise how to change all devices on the 5ghz channel not just one which is what I want to do. unless I am missing something.
