My FTTP was installed yesterday and its working fine, when I checked the eero app i saw 4 connected devices three i recognised and one called Commscope which i didn't does anyone here know what it is?
I did search and find *removed* but still haven't a clue why i am seeing Commscope in the list of connected devices.
I hope someone here can help and thanks in advance if you can.

And I saw you on thinkbroadband, it came up when I was searching for solutions! And I doubt "millions" of Freesat boxes, but point taken.

Sorted.
Thanks to a couple of great members over at Thinkbroadband (hope i am allowed to post that) we finally got to the bottom of it.
I have a Freesat set top box which records and streams i tried to stream Netflix on it after blocking Commscope and it failed with an internet connection error popping up i unblocked Commscope and it worked again.
I hope this helps others in the future as there are *millions of these boxes out there.
Who manufactures freesat boxes?
As of 2024, Arris [ARRIS GLOBAL LTD] (Part of Commscope) Make the main boxes for Freesat
Current Model Numbers are UHD-X-**** these are smart boxes that can record multiply channels from the live TV broadcast and access via internet to Netflix, iPlayer.
*as Ferguson points out below that may be a bit of an exaggeration 😉

The first thing I did was looked at mine, but no. I think we have hit a bit of a dead end for now. Have you tried reaching out to eero support directly?

Were the screen shots of no use?

I am very new to this i am not sure what you mean by filters.
I have taken the screen shots below to try to help members it says Activity 0 but i am sure yesterday it was connected and running.

You could try using the filters on your eero app to at least narrow down how the unknown device is connecting. I have removed the link, it is best not to post in public if there is the slightest suspicion.
