@KeithFrench could I trouble you for your expertise please, on my daughters property I have previously linked a spare router to help with a signal dead spot which has worked fine, what I am wondering is can this be done with another spare so 3 routers are linked?

At the moment she has a Sagecom 5464-2.T4 as her main router with a Sagecom 6364-3.T8 linked via a powerline adapter. If it is possible I presume the process is just the same but how would I need to alter the ip address on the 3rd router. At the moment it has 192.168.1.1 on the main router and 192.168.1.2 on the second

Sorry Keith that was a typo or failing eyesight! It is a 5364. Anyway in regard to the ip on the 3rd router should I put it exactly as I have used on the second one or would it need to be 192.168.1.3

Yes that should be no problem, although I have never heard of the 6364.
