Devices not showing up in Eero app & remote connectivity issues

I have a CCTV server that I port forward and access remotely which has worked fine up to now, but since a couple of days ago I can't access it outside my network. The strange thing is my server is connected to the internet and accessible locally but it doesn't show up in the Eero app as if it is off line. I think this may be what's causing my remote access issue. Any suggestions on a fix? I have rebooted the Eero and CCTV server several times with no difference.

Thanks

Hi @whitestu

I will try & investigate this for you, if you can confirm what version of eeroOS you are using? However, jobs are stacking up at the moment & free time is disappearing fast, so it won't be until tomorrow now. For your reference:-

Hi Debbie. Yes it is there are at least two devices that are definitely on line but show up as off line on the Eero app. One is the CCVT server and the other is an ip camera. There could be more I haven't spotted

Hi @whitestu

@Debbie-TalkTalk has asked me to help you with this issue. If the server is indeed offline, then port forwarding will always fail. Generally, I find that the eero has very few bugs in it, so I don't test each new release of firmware like I do some other routers. The other main reason for port forwarding to fail is that the eero's WAN IP address has changed unless DDNS is in operation.

There was an update to the eeroOS to V7.8.0-5242, are you on this version? If required, I can specifically test this if you tell me which TCP or UDP port you are trying to forward, to ensure it works OK on my eeros.

Hi @whitestu

Just to confirm, is this affecting any other devices?

@KeithFrench have you come across this issue before?
