Talktalk doesn't offer a social tariff as such, @Madmaz.

If you are receiving some benefits, you may qualify through the Jobcentre scheme:

https://www.socialtariff.co.uk/broadband/talktalk/

Otherwise, all you can do is haggle when it is time to renew. Don't do it mid term, as the default is for Talktalk to charge £30 to fiddle with admin in the middle of a contract. In the last 2 to 3 months, give them a ring.

But home schooling doesn't add expense to the wifi you already have  - it's there whether you use it or not, and it's not throttled so you can use it a lot.

Ultimately the contract you have is for ordinary residential use, despite working from home being much more prevalent these days.

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry we still have plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link in the post at the top of any forum message board.
