No lights on router

Randomly and all of a sudden my internet cut out. Check the router and there are no lights. None, no white and no orange. I switched the plug - still nothing. I called customer service, who said it is not a router problem. But a problem with my line. And engineer will need to be sent out.

Which seems strange. If it is not a problem with my router. Why are there NO lights?! And if my router is working fine, why am I no able to find it on my laptop or phone?

Hi @nishilt thanks for checking, unfortunately I don't have fibre so honestly don't know.

Have you another router you could try, and is the ont working ok?

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Unfortunately I do not have one. Is there another way I am able to check?

Is the problem possible though. Can the router still be working with no lights on? Surely you would expect to be the orange light is there is a problem with the line??
