I had 150 fibre installed a few months with an eero and paid £76, I was assured it would cope with voip and reach all around the house. It never has reached upstairs with a decent stength. I bought another eero to extend the signal still didn't work upstairs in my son's bedroom with his PlayStation. So I tried buying an Alexa speaker with eero capability put it in our bedroom to extend the signal to our sons but the signal still isn't strong enough and is patchy. The eero app always shows download and upload speeds as guaranteed no surprise there. But it differs throughout the day in actual usage.
So I've paid out for the installation and over £150 for wifi extensions. I think the signal strength isn't up to it. It was just as good as this before full fibre on the copper wire connection. Except I'm over £225 out of pocket. At this rate I will not be renewing.

It will be an eero 6, the only other one that TT supply is the eero Pro 6 on the FF500 & above packages.
Do not worry about interpreting the results, I will do that for you. I will send a PM to you that contains a link for a guide of mine on Wi-Fi interference. It is quite long (about 30 pages), but you will probably only need to look at three or four pages in total. Initially look at the section called "Are you suffering from interference – prove it first". This is the first link in the table of contents. This section includes full details of free Wi-Fi analysers that I recommend for Windows, Windows phone, Android and Apple operating systems. However, I have no way of testing the Apple product. Select the analyser of your choice & my guide explains how to use it.
If you are using Wi-Fi Scanner, then please attach the zip file to this thread. As soon as I have downloaded it, I will remove the attachment from your post, to preserve your privacy.
With all other analysers, please follow my instructions below.
Collect the screenshots that I require and include them in your reply.
Please post the screenshots to me in a PM (to protect your privacy), which I have requested in my guide. No photos please as they can be difficult to read, because the text can get out of focus when zoomed in. Please ensure that the analyser window is maximised (if Windows) before taking the screenshots & upload them via the "Insert Photos" button (in a mobile browser it's the picture icon) on the post editor's toolbar with the Size parameter set to Large.

Hi Keith, thanks for your generous input. I have the initial eero that open reach fitted on behalf of TT. I'm sure it's the first edition and not a 6. That is wired direct from the fibre cable with a Grandholme hub for our landline. I then bought another to use as an extender to reach the attic (sons bedroom) which I placed in our bedroom, so there was an extender halfway between. This gave no better signal so I was already in the process of getting an Alexa speaker so tried this in our bed room as the extender but again no better. His games on his PS4 freeze etc making them totally unplayable. We've tried the second eero up in his room to see if it's better but it's not. To answer your question about wired connections there is just the main router. Everything else is wifi. At the moment the second eero is not in use.
I hope that explains it all better for you. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you
Leagueman

I can't help with the fact that you have paid out this money. However, if I could have had the chance to help you before, I might have been able to save you wasting money. The Echo Dot has so many limitations in WiFi performance I would never have recommended that. For clarity you now have one eero 6 & one echo Dot, is that correct?
Slow speed, intermittent dropouts, breaks in the signal or no signal on some or all devices or no internet access might be caused by Wi-Fi interference from other local networks, which can also lead to a permanent reduction in speed. No ISP can be responsible for your local environment, this is mainly a byproduct of the popularity of Wi-Fi.
However, other factors should be investigated first. When this happens, what is the status displayed in the app for the internet connection? Do you have any wired connections & if so, how do they perform?
Generally speaking, the 2.4GHz band suffers a lot more from interference than the much faster 5GHz band, but the 2.4GHz one can sometimes have a better range, but this all depends on your local area.
In other words, I try to help you optimise your Wi-Fi connection. The next stage involves sending out a guide to you to help you get me some important diagnostic results so that I can analyse them for you and recommend changes to your router configuration to solve them.
I only send this out to people who request it.
Whilst the eero is supposed to manage Wi-Fi interference, if this is very bad, particularly in the 2.4GHz band, then it cannot do anything about it, no router can. The same goes for any router at that point. Other things that may then need to be investigated are its location within your property and the WiFi bands that you use.
