im wanting to setup a custom dns on my eero, i have fiber 500 but the option is grayed out.

I assume that you have an eero router, probably the eero Pro 6?

 

The reason that it is greyed out is that you normally have to disable eero Secure to do this.

 

To disable eero Secure, from the eero app go to:-

  1. Tap Discover

  2. Tap eero Secure

  3. Tap Advanced Security to toggle the feature on or off.
