CALLER DISPLAY

My caller display is not working. I tried removing the facility for a day and then turned it back on as this has worked in the past. However, it has not worked this time. Any calls to my landline show as "no caller information"

Yes, it is working again. However, the first time I dialled it came up "incoming call" with no number. The second time it worked. So, it looks like we are back to intermittent working again. We shall see how long that lasts! Also. when I pressed update a message came up in red ink - "you have not changed any featrures, no updates will be made". Anyway, thanks Chris and thanks to Michelle too. If you do decide to write again today, I won't reply until tomorrow as I have a life to lead, such as it is!!

Thanks, I can see your account details now. Caller display isn't showing enabled on our systems so I've checked your My Account and it looks as though caller display has been selected but you haven't clicked on 'update' to save the selection, could you do this please and then retest

Thanks

Right, I have done this for the second time. Don't ask me again. By the way, if, for some stupid reason, you still can't find me, then you can use my postal address which is **7 ***e **** ***** BL9 ***

Hi Terry,

We can help but we need to identify you on our systems. The account number isn't on your profile, can you please add it (or your TalkTalk landline telephone number) to the private notes section of your community profile (we are not going to call your landline, we just need it (or you account number) to locate your account details, the relay UK number is no good for this purpose)

Thanks

Chris

I have put the account number on the profile. Please do not ask me for anything else. If you can't help, just say so. Why can't you turn up my account details? Yoiu have my account number ending 496, my "official" landline number ending 599 my Relay UK number (on the same landine and it must be used to call me) ending 196 and my mobile number (which can only be used for texts, not calls) ending 423. What more do you want - blood! If you still won't or can't help me, plesase consider this correspondence closed. I am an extremely annoyed TalkTalk customer but there is nothing unusual about that if you knew the dreadful history!

Hi terry,

Apologies for the confusion, we need either your TalkTalk landline number or Account number so that we can locate your account details. We wouldn't be trying to call you. If you could add this to your profile then we can investigate the Caller Display fault for you.

Thanks

My "official" landline number ends 599 but, as I have been tellling you for 10 years plus, the number you must call is the Relayuk number ending 196 and that is the number I put on the profile. I need this RelayUK number because of my severe hearing problem. How many times do I need to tell you this? I am cheesed off with all this and I am not doing this any more if you are not able to help without asking me to do more of this stuff, CHEESED OFF WITH ALL THIS NONSENSE!

Hi,

Could you re-check the telephone number in your Community Profile and confirm if this is correct? Please do not post any personal information on the Community.

Thanks

Done. I now await help on the issue please. I think I will end up having to phone TalkTalk and I am not optimistic that they will be able to sort it out. The last time I had this problem they told me to try the master socket (which is unusable) or vsarious other bits of advice which were no good. I had to sort it out myself which I did successfully as described in my initial message but it is not working this time.

Morning,

Can you please update your community profile to include your:

  • Name
  • TalkTalk Telephone number
  • Alternative contact number

We'll then look into this further. Please do not post this information on this thread. Once you've updated your profile please post in your topic to confirm it's updated.

Thanks

Michelle
