Our landline is set to require a caller to first state his/her name, as a security feature. We wish to discontinue this, but can't remember how we set this up! Can you help?

You can turn this off in My Account.
Instructions can be found here
https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Articles/How-to-use-CallSafe/ta-p/2204789In
Please note that once turned off all your approved and blocked numbers are wiped from the system. If you turn it back on again you will have to start approving numbers again.
Please remember to mark Solved Posts with Best Answer. Doing so helps other customers and saves TalkTalk's Support Team time by only looking at unsolved topics. Thanks, Steve (a fellow customer).
