Digital Voice Adapter

I had Full Fibre installed today but didn't receive a Digital Voice Adapter.  How do I get one please ?

Hi,

I'm glad to hear this. Would you like us to send a returns bag for the digital voice adapter as this can't be used with the WIFI HUB 2 router? If you have cordless phones connected to a main base station then this would work if the main phone is connected to the router.

Thanks for confirming. I'm not sure why the DVA was sent out. Does the phone work ok at the voice port on this router? Unfortunately we don't provide additional equipment to connect additional handsets around the property.

Oops, looks like you didn't read the setup instructions for digital voice and the Type 2 Hub!

From what I can see BT only provide one for free although you can have up to 5 connected and they are £19.99 each.

So, the DVA arrived and it doesn't give me anything extra because it needs plugging into the router, but my router is a version 2 with a phone port in it already.

BT supplies DVAs that connect wirelessly to the router, so they connect to a phone wherever it is in the house, so I am either going to have to spend £100 on a 4-pack wireless phone system or move my account to BT.

@FourBells you'll only be able to connect one handset or base station to the DVA.

If your other phone extensions are hard wired extensions then these will no longer work.

If you need phones in others rooms then wireless handsets will need to be purchased.

I now understand that I need a Digital Voice Adapter for each phone in the house.  I have three in total, therefore is it possible to have an extra 2 sent please ?

I've checked and we are just waiting for the account to update to show FTTP is live, I can then order the DVA.

I will keep checking on this and I will let you know once the digital voice adapter has been ordered.
