Are you saying that you had no dial tone and was unable to make calls  for 25 days?  the fault was logged for caller display,  Compensation does not cover calling features.

You are better posting a fresh thread about the compensation issue in the billing section of the forum, @concord, for that department to look into it.

I was without my telephone service for about 25 days and I have recieved a email from taltalk to say that I do not qualify for any compensation. Can you explain why.

Also I am having trouble trying to see my bills

Thanks, could I just ask, did the caller display fault start working before you completely lost the telephone service?

Still no dial tone today.

Its now 10 days since first reporting a problem. An engineer phoned yesterday to say that everything should be ok now but it is not.

The internet is working fine so I can use the mobile to make calls but without that our signal in this area is so bad that using a mobile is all but useless.

This is all very fustrating and I'm having to spend considerable time trying to contact somebody that can actually tell me whats happening.

It was working up to about 10 days ago. I have two phones connected and both were working ok. I have disconnected both phones and reconnected, but still not working. I believe something has changed at the exchange end.

Hi concord

I'm sorry to hear this.

Has caller display ever worked on your line? (previously)

Have you tried connecting the phone directly at the test socket? Do you have a different phone that you can test with?
