Hello. We recently had full fibre installed and it's working fine. We are still using the analogue phone line. But today we have no landline phone, no dial tone, nothing. There is a 'click' when I unplug/plug the line, but nothing else. Is there a general problem or may the fault be at our end?

Hi Andy,
Sorry for any confusion. Some customers are left on what's called 'copper leave behind' when they upgrade to full fibre, this is usually when VoIP isn't available, so it looks as though the engineer was just mistaken. Your telephone number should have been ported across to the VoIP service, have you tried calling your number to see if it goes through?

Now I'm really confused. I've plugged the phone into the router and it works. so why did the installer tell me he had to leave our old analogue phone line in for our landline phone? And frankly, it wasn't the only dodgy thing he told us. Have we still got our old phone number ending in 57?
Thanks for your help, but I haven't been impressed by the mis-information we were given.
Andy

Hi Andy,
You should now have VoIP service so you'll need to connect your telephone to the green telephone port on you router (possibly covered up with a sticker).
Could you give this a try and if you need any further assistance just let us know
