I've reported this to staff here:
I wouldn't have been testing my line except for you asking CSs to check what is going on for the new My Connection.
Each of the previous supposed fault reports have fallen off naturally after 3 days. I have never been informed if any of these faults were actually worked on.
Were the faults ever there or is this a fault with your system?
As the last listed fault had cleared as usual, I thought I would run another test for you, so here is another fault number:
I am getting rather fed up not knowing whether there's actually a fault going on or whether anything is actually being done about it, if there is.
Could you please clarify the situation?

Ok thank you 🙂
Thanks

I've found an unused filter.
But the phone connection is so stiff in the older one, it will now take me a while to ease it out again.
It took multiple attempts yesterday.
I'll post back when I have managed to switch it to the newer filter, @Michelle-TalkTalk.

Hi,
If you do find a spare microfilter then if possible then can we do the line test with the microfilter and phone at the main socket (with the faceplate on) then we can do it again with the router connected to see if we can work out if it's the router or filter.
Thanks

I have one to the side - not sure why the engineer last year dismissed it.
I'll see if I can find an unused one among the boxes...

Hi,
Do you have an alternative microfilter? If not then we can send a replacement microfilter to rule this out.
Thanks

It's always at the master socket these days, so nothing other than the filter between it and the socket.
Could it be the filter bit for the router?
Yesterday you tested router to test socket (clear) but no filter.
Is the filter the problem or the router, @Michelle-TalkTalk ?

Hi,
Thank you. The fault is now back. Where is the router usually connected? Is it connected to the main socket or at an extension socket?
Thanks

Router back fully on now, @Michelle-TalkTalk.
on 10-02-2023 08:14 AM
Router now also attached - it is warming up with the flashing lights thing for a minute or two.

Hello,
The line test is still clear. Would it be possible to now re-connect your router again and I'll run it again?
Thanks

Posts take a minute or two to update on here, even after refreshing the page, @Michelle-TalkTalk so you probably did have me fiddling mid test that time.
on 10-02-2023 08:07 AM
Now ready, I think. Couldn't hear dial tone so you were maybe mid test?
on 10-02-2023 08:04 AM
Going downstairs to reattach filter....
There's definitely none in the test socket. It has the single slot only.
on 10-02-2023 08:02 AM
Hi,
Ok, I'll run it again now and will post back shortly.

Hi,
If you don't have a filtered faceplate then please connect the microfilter and the phone please.
Thanks
on 10-02-2023 08:02 AM
Now with faceplate on and no filter.
on 10-02-2023 07:59 AM
So faceplate ON, but NO filter?
on 10-02-2023 07:53 AM
Morning,
Ok, would it be possible to re-connect the phone at the main socket (with the faceplate back on) and we can run the test again?
Thanks
on 10-02-2023 07:51 AM
This was the phone only connected to the TEST socket.
No filter at the moment as I thought that the original test was supposed to be with NONE (hence me struggling to remove it from the filter yesterday!), @Michelle-TalkTalk.
