Phone not working when plugged in to splitter

I have just set up my broadband that works fine. I can’t get a dialling tone on my phone when it is plugged in via the splitter. If I plug my phone direct into the socket it works fine. I have tried another splitter but get the same result.

Hi @Kentrover

Is everything working ok now?

Hi Kentrover

The fault has been assigned to a line engineer this morning. We should hopefully have further updates later this afternoon.

Thanks

Morning,

Thank you. The line test has detected a potential external line fault (DIS fault) so I've passed this straight over to Openreach now to complete an external line investigation. We'll re-check first thing in the morning for an update for you.

Thanks

Morning,

Can you please update your community profile to include your:

  • Name
  • Telephone number
  • Alternative contact number

We'll then look into this further. Please do not post this information on this thread. Once you've updated your profile please post in your topic to confirm it's updated.

Thanks

What package do you have? By "splitter" do you mean a microfilter connected to the master socket? Which sort of master socket (presuming of course that this is not Digital Voice provided with Full Fibre) do you have and which faceplate does it have (a photo of it might help)?
