Hi all,
We are wondering if you could help with an issue we have please.
We've had the phone line moved from one place in our home to another but have since noticed there is a black telephone wire hanging in front our bedroom window. We had someone here yesterday with ladders to go up and try and clip it up but the wire is too tight and can't be moved out of the way as there's not enough spare wire.
It's really in the way but we can't fix it as it's the main phone cable.
Who can fix this please? Talktalk or is it an Open reach issue?
Thank you

I've tried emailing OpenReach but the email bounced back as an invalid email.
Do you have another one please?

No but we are unable to have the back rendered to fix leaks we have coming as the wire won't go around the window properly and hangs in front 😞

I absolutely understand what you mean. Just to check with you, is this issue affecting your broadband services?

Hi Fez,
Thank you for getting back to me with that offer.
I don't really want to pay for something that is an error with the way it was installed. The line they used is too short and instead of getting a longer one, the line has been left cutting across the front of one of our bedroom windows. We've tried to pin it up but there isn't enough line to be able to move it out of the way 😞
This is open reaches issue I think?

Please note that the engineer's visit will be chargeable, as it is not related to a fault. If you would like to proceed with scheduling this visit, please let us know your availability, and we will do our best to accommodate.

TT arranged for the phone line to be moved for us via Open Reach so do you think they could solve it?

Hi @Vickytom I'd ask the same company as moved the phone line in the first place?
Barring that TT can arrange Open reach visit but you will be billed for it.
