Hi I can't receive incoming calls on my landline (outgoing ok)

  • Tried 2 different handsets
  • Tried both handsets in the so called test socket
  • Call divert is showing off in my account
  • Phones are not set "to do not disturb"

Anything else I can try

OK thanks. Line test is picking up a potential problem so I've logged this out to Openreach for investigation. They will investigate over the next 72 hours and may contact you directly if they need to access your home

Hi Chris

When I phone the landline and answer I get the noise you get when the line is dead

I still get the ringing tone on my mobile even when I answer the landline hand set?

OK thanks. If you pick up the receiver when the call is coming in, what do you hear?

@Brianhet, staff replied to you 14 hours ago.

They are not on here overnight or at weekends.

Chat support is available over the weekend.

You can't really expect such a quick turnaround: read the automatic compensation information here for details explaining that you should give engineers time to try to sort it and then, if they exceed the minimum period, compensation is awarded c 30 days after the problem is resolved:

Hi Brian,

Can you please update your community profile to include your:

  • Name
  • Telephone number
  • Alternative contact number

We'll then look into this further. Please do not post this information on this thread. Once you've updated your profile please post in your topic to confirm it's updated.

Thanks

Chris
