Hello
Does talktalk have any plans to provide a Voip service when BT moves from analogue landlines to digital ?
There is also the potential issue of losing telephone connectivity if there is a power outage . Not the case currently with landlines.
Pls advise

Hi @surfing69 everything motioned is true, if you do choose to upgrade and you are vulnerable customer with a telecare alarm, this will need to be flagged on the account that you have a medical device so that your alarm keeps working through the switchover.

Everyone will eventually have to move to fibre as the old copper lines are being phased out.
If you have any call care devices or are vulnerable you should register this with TalkTalk now, so that when your turn comes they will discuss this with you.
As for costs, these can be negotiated at the time. Yes fibre does cost more but not that much as copper is rising and there are deals to be had on fibre by talking to the loyalty team.
Also if available, TalkTalk do offer free upgrades from time to time if you are under contract at no extra cost.

VOIP must be ordered at the same time as an upgrade to Full Fibre, @surfing69 but is not charged differently from your current copper landline.
So 24p per minute for normal calls, or use a calls boost, but no extra charge for the facility.

unfortunately i get my broadband via a copper cable . It seems that this service is only available to those customers on full fibre?
I am concerned that I will be forced to get full fibre at a potentially much higher cost to what I currently pay for ADSL broadband?
