Hi, I had this problem 26th March 2024, after having fibre installed, and Michelle from talktalk support fixed it thanks to Ferguson (community star) telling me it was a known problem.
I have experienced regular drop-offs in router and landline over last 24hours, and contacted talktalk this morning, they did a factory reset of the router which (fingers crossed has fixed the broadband problem) but the ding every 30 mins on the landline is still there, which is annoying at best....please can someone from the support team pick this up and help?

Hi @lucy24
Apologies for this.
The router is on its way, please allow 24-48hrs for this to arrive.
Please let us know how you get on.
Thanks
Debbie

Hi @lucy24
Apologies for this.
I think we should send a new router first to rule this out (for the intermittent connection fault) Would you like me to arrange this?

so...already an update, the good times didn't last long, less than 2 hours and the wifi has flown. Tried the turning off for 20 mins and nowt. The light on router is a constant orange.

Hey Michelle, I have got home earlier than I thought and done the reset, and the router is now running how it should...not sure for how long, but I will enjoy it whilst I can.
Will you guys try and do the patch fix to the phone ringing every 30 mins, or will you leave that if you are sending out a new router?
Whatever, I will let you wave the magic wand...again, tomorrow I am back in muddy and saturated fields so can't assist from this end until the evening.

Hi lucy
No problem 🙂 I hope you don't get too wet. Have a great day.

Hey to you Michelle-TalkTalk,
I will try when I get back from work but that won't be until tonight now, will be out gathering soil cores from a very wet and muddy field!
I will get back to you later : )

Hi lucy,
I'm sorry to hear this. Could you try resetting the router and then setting it back up again. If this doesn't resolve the issue then I think we should send a replacement router to rule this out.
Thanks
Michelle

Hi Debbie-TalkTalk,
the router/wifi/landline issue I thought we had sorted yesterday appears not to be the case and everything is off again this morning. I have had to walk away and hope it rights itself but seems unlikely.
so my answer is Yes the router is off but not because of me

thanks Gliwmarden2, it seems to be a fairly common problem here on the forum pages, but the guys on the chat pages on talktalk just don't get it, not sure why the patch info isn't directed to them too. But yes, my fingers are crossed that this community is the way forward once again : )

It's likely to come back if you have to do a factory reset, @lucy24, but can be sorted by staff again after the weekend.
