i cannot receive phone calls, its says the line is inactive. but i can make them.

i am in the process of migrating from shell, but something has been messed up, as was working fine before.

why is TalkTalk asking me to potentially pay for attendance by bt engineer when it was working before TalkTalk started to take over from shell ?

face plate has been removed and test port used with another phone and fault still exists.

sorry but i have phoned them and been on the chat function 6 to 8 times now. every time there is a different excuse.

monday i phoned i was told they are working on it and found an issue in the exchange and would be updated by 5pm no one phoned me and still does not work.

tuesday i was told no one had looked into it and openreach did not have contact details for me so cancelled the appointment, today they where booked for 8am to 1pm and now via chat they tell me by 7pm

sorry but talktalk is a joke and a disgrace.  the migration has failed.

Hi talky12345,

I'm sorry to hear that the phone line still isn't working, if you could contact the migration team on the number provided by Karl, they should be able to help

Hi

TalkTalk are not asking you to potentially pay for an engineer, these conditions are made by Openreach to all providers that use their infrastructure.

These conditions are standard for any engineer booking, and if a customer is ever proven at fault, and Openreach issue a charge, only part of the charge is passed to the customer, TalkTalk pay the majority of the charge to openreach, so we will always try to ensure that proper testing is done to avoid any charge when possible.

If the migration team has determined with you that an engineer is required then this is the only way forward to resolve the issue.

If you can give the Migrations team a call on 0345 172 0088, the Team can assist further, and arrange any required engineer for you.

Thanks

Karl.
