Hi, just received a call from 03451720088 which is the number to call for account enquiries. This is not a number used by TalkTalk to initiate calls. 

No action required it is blocked! 

I don't work here and all my opinions are my own.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to you, I can assure you the number is an inbound TalkTalk customer service and billing team number, however I having this investigated for you, as to why they are trying to call you.

Hi there @pete-gonnella This is definitely our customer service and billing number, I will have to access your account and check if any of the TalkTalk department has tried to reach you. Please update your community profile so I can locate your account.

I received a call from this number, but I didn't answer. Checked my account, all my billing is in order.

 

Can you confirm this number is not used by TalkTalk to initiate calls?

For anyone reading this thread, please remember:

  • TalkTalk will never call and ask you to share sensitive information like passwords or full bank details.
  • We will never ask you to make payments over the phone or install software on your devices.

If you ever receive a suspicious call, the best action is to hang up immediately and avoid giving out any personal details. You can also report scam calls through our Help & Support page.

I understand that you did mention that you require no further action regarding this since you've also blocked the number however, I need to ensure that everything is good, please confirm if any money has been taken as part of the scam.
